Business Card Design with Cardworks. (A free downloadable program)
Designing your business cards with Cardworks is very easy, although it's capabilities are extremely limited. However the program is free and if you are not fussy, it may just work for you.

After installing Cardworks and running the program for the first time, it will be necessary to do some setup work, but after that your information will be saved and always be at hand.
This is the first screen you see and this is also where you start by filling in your details and selecting your design.
From OPTIONS you must also select the size of the card. The size nearest to ours in South Africa is the one in the red oval. Choose it and click OK.
Now you can choose a colour scheme from the menu.
All your details must be entered here to appear on your business card.
This is what your card now looks like.
You can also add images or your logo and photos if you want to.
I have added the business name and a photo of myself onto the card. The biggest problem I find here, is that you can't resize the image or the photo, no matter how large you try and make the original one.
You can also easily choose other designs.
Go through all the designs and if you aren't happy with any of them, upload some more from the Cardworks website.
When finished with your card you can either export it to .pdf to send to us for printing or take a screen shot and send it as a .jpg in the highest resolution possible.
